Week 9

It's the start of my week 9. I found so many of my bottoms are already un-fit to wear.. can only zip halfway..... have no choice but to shop for some maternity wear. Didn't know that the maternity bottoms have a special way of wearing... they are super adjustable to your expanding waistline...

Went to the company doc also.. cos I'm down with sore throat.. not sure where I got it from.. probably from my sick colleague. Funny thing was my 2 other colleagues were there in the clinic as well.. and we are all sitted together and from the same team. Both of them went home on MC while I stayed in office. I tried to ask him to give me MC for tomorrow but he refuse.. cos he said cannot give advance MC.. should have told him that my whole team is sick and it's contagious and not healthy for a preggie woman to be surrounded by bugs & viruses.. I ended up with one big bag of medicine even thou I only hv sore throat.. the doc gave me lozenges (fair enough for my sore thoat), flu pill (cos I hv flu like symptom), panadol ??? (not sure for what.. nurse say in case I get any body aches can take... ) and vitamin C (to boast my immunity. Going to get overdose by vit C. Gynea also give me vit C to take daily). Geez how many pills do I hv to pop a day !? I will hv my Vit B, Vit C, folic acid, flu pill, panadol, .. total 6 pills !!!!! Yukie!!!

8 Weeks 6 Days...

That's the no. of days I'm preggie now... Just went for my 1st gynea check on sat. Saw the little one's heartbeat during the scan... the baby now measures 16.1mm =)
Having a baby is so amazing.. actually feel my body going thru lots of changes the moment I suspect I've going to have a new member in the family. Mayb it's motherly instinct!?

Week 6 - Suspect myself preggie. I went to the motherhood forum and read up on symptoms... and bingo.. I had so many similar symptons.. having bad cramps everyday, feeling bloated, lost of appetite, extreme hunger during odd timings and the most clear evidance "Da Yi Ma" is not here...
I went to my company doc to test.. arrrggghhh the stupid doc ask me so what I want after I told him I think I'm preggie. Obviously I'm there to confirm. DUH! He eventually got the nurse to get me a test kit to find out. The best part he doesn't know how to read the results and have to get the nurse to confirm.... The result was a faint positive, which according to the nurse it's should be positive because of the presence of HCG (which is hormone secreted during pregnancy). I was pretty skeptical of the result.. won't want to disappoint everyone if it turns out false. I bought a test kit and check again the next day... indeed it's a positive.

Week 7 - I did wat preggie was not suppose to do during trimester1.. I went on a biz trip. Was pretty worried as it was my inital stage.. luckily I came back safe and sound... the only complain I have.... WHY TAXI DRIVERS DUN HELP ME CARRY LUGGAGE!?!? Luckily I was pretty prepared that I might encounter such drivers and packed my luggague light. Oh and one more symptom starts kicking in during this week.... Preggie ladies sleep a lot ... I slept 10-12hrs every nite...

Week 8 - This is a not so fun week... Morning sickness kicks in.... Yuckie!! Hate feeling nauseas everyday... Hopefully this ends soon I just need to endure another 4 weeks.....

Project H

Finally it's here.... will be getting my key to the new home in 1 months time. The wait has been long since 2003 until now... Soon I will be back into community living.. fitting 6 people under 1 roof in a tiny mini 90m sq unit. There goes my freedom & privacy !!!!
No matter how I dragged having to live with MIL family.. life goes on.... I WILL ENDURE !!!
So now it's time for me to get busy sourcing for IDs to do up the place...

I'm back in action.....

To all my friends out there who thought that I have given up updating my blog and see cob webs collecting on my blog.. I wasn't missing in action...Been busy with my 2 major projects. Project H and Project B.

Move "house" already...

Finally settled down in my new cubicle.. environment here is much quieter as compared to last time.. all my girls cubicle-mates are re-located away from me and separated by a wall.. But good thing is I'm further away from boss and has more privacy.. =)

Next up ..... House warming party... Big brother we wait for u come back to hold the house warming party !! Remember to bring back more Japanese Snacks !!!

Almost Empty Jar...

Someone cleared my jar full of nougats in 2 days.... wonder who issit... tsk tsk!!! That person definitely have a sweet tooth and deep craving for nougats!!

Shopping Paradise ...

No place beats Bangkok.. the shopping paradise .. I just got back from 3 full days of shopping spree !!!! I think it's a good way to de-stress!!! My first day at Platinum Mall - the place you find fashion clothings, accessories at reaaaallll cheap prices.. the tip to shopping at Platinum... buy 3 pieces from any shop and you pay wholesale prices... Prices start as low as $6 onwards...
After day 1 .. let's see.. 6 shorts, 4 tops, 3 skirts, 2 pair of shoes and some accessories..
Day 2 - Siam Paragon and Central World... more shopping bags =P
Day 3 - MBK and last but not least traditional Thai Massage ...gosh those aunties sure have strength when they massage people... can hear my joints crack ..luckily the auntie who massage me didn't stand on me... my bones will probably break with her weight!!

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport .. my plane is not here yet...

There it is ....So sianz... back to Singapore... that means end of my holiday & back to work !! =(

Time for a new home again...

This is where I spent 10 hours each day ... my office cubicle.. I shifted into this "home" less than 1.5 years.. and after next week will be moving to another cubicle... Time to renovate my "new" cubicle again..The only no change is I will still be sitting with my Big Brother =) ..hahaha Big Brother --> "I will follow you...." !!!! With the move I will lose my 2 other cubicle-mates.. there goes our girls gossip corner.. Hopefully with the new seating arrangement we still get our little gatherings going ..

"High Flyer"

Think I'm becoming one .... Don't get me wrong when I say I'm a "high flyer".. Me & my colleagues we have 2 definitions for high flyer

High Flyer
Definition 1 : One who climbs the corporate ladder real fast.
Definition 2 : One who flys a lot .. busying clocking mileage hoping one day we become Gold or PPS Member on Krisflyer =P

I belong the the later one... I miss the mark turning Gold Member by 400 mileage points 2mths ago.. yes... wish all my trips have come earlier... now I'm back to square one.

Just got back to Singapore from my Melbourne trip on sat morning and now I'm in KL... working working working..... I'm looking forward to a break in Bangkok 2 weeks later... I NEED A BREAK from all the projects !!! It's not so fun after all travelling on biz trip... only bring back more workloads and issues to settle... *SIGH*

Melbourne I'm back!

I'm back in Melbourne after 8 years.... hasn't change much here thou... probably more skyscrapers.. Hopefully I get to go out somewhere after work today to snap some pictures and take a walk along Yarra River.. the weather now.. COLD !!! but that's the best time to be here... not when you are stuck in a country that is hot all year round ...

The hotel I'm staying is just beside my office... UNFORTUNATELY I got a real lousy view.. I'm facing my office!! Tsk tsk !!! When I drew open my curtains.. can pratically see people sitting at their cubicles or walking around... Likewise I think they can see me in my room. Can't help it if you are paying that little $$$ you get that kind of "view".

Bowling Day..

It's my department team building day... we held it at Mt. Faber Safra club... it's our 2nd time holding such an event there....



The activity.. u guess it.. BOWLING.... the throw $$ down the drain game.... company's paying so we juz bowl for free !!

As for me ... haha I got to admit .. I'm lousy at bowling.. when I want the ball to go right... it went left... when i want it to go left.. it went right.. never on target.. let see... 2 rounds of game.. no strike.. one 1 pathetic spare.. and I bet with my colleague on the last round.. I lost out to him.. BLAH~! So he's getting free fruits from me on Monday...

Golfing @ Marina Bay

Took half day leave and went golfing @ Marina Bay yesterday.. an event organize by my company recreational club. Check out the amazing view of downtown and Marina from hole 13. This is also the hole that I donated 3 balls into the water...

If the scenary was capturing enough.. check this out... a gigantic water spout out in the Singapore waters as we golf "nearby".. we can feel the wind speed picking up as the water spout sweep from west to east... huge grey clouds gathered over the funnel... it lasted almost 20mins.. before the spout disappeared into thin air.

The most frustrating part playing at this course is the bowl-shaped bunkers...

Hole 8: 3 of my flight-mates tee off and.... 3 of them ended up in the bunker !! hahah... I'm the only one with my golf ball on the fairway..

Those sand bunkers are almost 2meters deep.. many of us failed to "launch" our balls out of the sand bunkers without 3 or 4 tries.. and eventually we just take the balls and drop it outside...

Hole 9 : My first "Birdie"... yes.. the last hole of the game after struggling through the entire 18 hole course.. I got my first birdie!!

Miss Snuffy goes Graze-ing @ Rochester..

Went Graze @ Rochester Park last nite with 2 of my colleagues. For all the hard work that we have put in last year, my company management has decided to reward us by giving each of us $50USD to spend on a meal. We decide to pick a chic place nice ambience with quality food.. with a budget of $225 in our pocket we found this place call Graze @ Rochester Park.

We sat in the open area overlooking the water feature and the lounge. Ordered a couple of mocktail drinks, a big seafood platter for 2, shellfish risotto and desserts..YUMMY!!

Overall, I thought the place was okie (minus those mozzies flying ard).. food definitely is pricey (anyway company pays who cares !! haha)

New Look

Yes.. I have a new hairdo… rebonded my hair for the 5th time… chopped my hair shorter by 4 inches after my hair stylist said that my hair is dead at the ends after too much chemical dye I fed it with.. she kept complaining that I bleached my hair too much and the condition of it … one word “Tekong” haha… sounds pathetic… so I had no choice but to let her cut away the beyond salvaged hair even after going through treatments… and dye my hair from the bleached light brown to a dark brown to make it look healthy.. I regretted though asking her to cut my fringe.. didn’t know the importance of the fringe that can affects how you look… I ended up with a real short straight fringe the end result .. GOONDU look .. BooHoo *sob sob*….=( Just wish my fringe will grow faster now…. My colleague volunteered to pull my hair to make it grow faster.. Hmmm…. Wonder how long has he been harvesting that thought of wanting to pull my hair…!! tsk tsk !!

Pronounce Snuffle-La-Fagus (Snuffleupaguses are furry, pachyderm-like mammals native to the world of Sesame Street.) Best friend is Big Bird , whom Snuffy affectionately calls simply "Bird." Favorite foods are cabbage and spaghetti. I’m not a big fan of sesame street when I was young.. cos I prefer Disney cartoons to Muppets shows. But as I grow older, I grew to like characters like Elmo, Cookie Monster, Barkley & Snuffy… A few years back, someone gave me a set of 24 sesame street little beanies.. painstakingly collected from Mac’s meal promotions…What can I say.. truly deeply touched by his act of love for me.
